Who Is Kandise Wesley

Kandise Wesley is an author, caregiver, and emerging grief and wellness coach whose work is rooted in compassion, resilience, and faith. Her journey into writing and coaching was born from personal experiences with profound loss, grief, and the quiet emotional battles that often happen behind closed doors.

After losing her father and walking through seasons of deep grief while also supporting loved ones through illness, Kandise discovered that healing rarely happens in isolation. While people often saw her strength on the outside: the smile, the jokes, the ability to keep moving forward, inside she was navigating the heavy and often lonely realities of grief, anxiety, and depression.

Writing became one of the ways she processed that journey. Her book, Grief, Guidance, Reconnection: How to Smile Through the Struggle, shares her deeply personal story while offering encouragement, reflection, and hope for others walking through loss. Through her words, Kandise creates a space where readers can feel seen, understood, and supported.

Today, Kandise is expanding that mission beyond the page. She is currently pursuing certifications in Human Flourishing Coaching and Brain Health & Neuroscience Coaching, equipping herself with tools that combine compassion, science, and emotional wellness to support others through grief and life transitions.

Her work focuses on helping individuals:

• navigate grief and loss
• reconnect with hope and purpose
• build emotional resilience
• understand the connection between mental wellness and brain health

Kandise believes that healing is not about pretending pain doesn’t exist, it’s about learning how to carry it while still allowing joy, meaning, and growth to return.

Through her writing, coaching, and the Soft Strength Community, Kandise is creating spaces where people can talk honestly about grief, feel less alone in their struggles, and rediscover their inner strength.

Her message is simple but powerful:

You can still heal.
You can still grow.

And even after loss, life can hold meaning again.
