Assists adults in obtaining their GED.  ESL (English as a Second Language) and citizenship test preparation instruction provided.  Basic math and reading skills instruction.  Child care room is available.

Coordinates educational services for homeless children and assists homeless families with K-12 children in the Cedar Rapids Community School District.  Removes barriers that obstruct children’s access to a free and appropriate education.

Provides adult high school, allowing students to work toward completion of their GED or Kirkwood High School diploma.  GED testing is available onsite.  Literacy and tutoring programs are available, including assessment of academic needs.  Adult Basic Skills training and ESL (English as a Second Language) instruction is provided.

Assistance available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Office hours).  Parenting classes available during evening hours.

Provides parent education and parenting classes for families with children under six years of age.  Specialized classes are available for parents who are divorced or separated, dads, step-parents and parents who are court-mandated.  Classes are held at varying times at a variety of locations.  No fees.
