Data on Homelessness in Linn County
Data on homelessness in Linn County will be distributed to the local media through a media advisory during National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week. National Information and Resources can be found under the tab for: Information (click to go there).
The Continuum of Care, Policy & Planning Council of Linn County will release the Point-in-Time Count, Individual & Family Needs Survey, conducted on July 31. The most recent Survey results will be available to the public in November. For more information, contact United Way @ 398-5372
Holiday Blanket Blitz: November 15th 2008
Community Circle of Care, Inc. is collecting new blankets during the SLEEP OUT for the Homeless on the Coe Campus. Blankets will be distributed to homeless assistance programs, including Foundation 2 Street Outreach, which distributes blankets to the homeless youth in their outreach efforts.

Adopt-a-Shelter
Churches, businesses and service organizations are encouraged to “Adopt-a-Shelter” for one week to help replenish needed supplies or assist with special projects. For more information, contact the shelters and assistance programs listed under the tab for Information (click to go there).
HACAP Food Reservoir Holiday Food Boxes
Volunteers are needed to assemble Holiday Assistance Food Boxes at the HACAP Food Reservoir. Boxes will be distributed to the needy during the month of December. HACAP Food Reservoir, 1515 Hawkeye Drive, Hiawatha. For more information, Call 739-1559.
